Purpose of Men’s Ministry Events

How good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity. (Psalm 133:1) It is the goal of the Men’s Ministry to provide opportunities for fellowship and service for men of all ages. Our meetings are informal, informational and there is something available for all men, regardless of the amount of church experience (great or small). Men are given the opportunity to serve Christ, to serve one another, to serve the Church and grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

PROVERBS 27:17 “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”

Men’s Ministry events provide opportunities for men to establish friendships, fellowship with other believers, minister to one another, and have fun. Various events are planned and organized throughout the year. Each of these events requires preparation and opportunities for each man for service and participation. Take the first step and participate; the Lord will do the rest!

Becoming A Discipler

Discipleship begins by paying attention to God’s work within our own lives as we respond in enthusiastic obedience to all the Lord longs to accomplish. As God works within, we in turn build spiritually into other believers, that they too may grow in Christlikeness.

Discipling involves effectively passing on what we have learned in our own faith-walk. It is developing others in Christ according to all God has established within us personally.

Being Salt and Light

Record attendance and rave reviews for the 2nd Men’s Ministry conference, Being Salt and Light. The morning started with a round table discussion from a diverse set of speakers of how they are Salt and Light in their communities. The round table included Pastor Kephyan Sheppard (Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Bruce Underwood (Sh’ma Yisrael Messianic Jews) and Pastor Angel Santillanes (JCML Torres Martinez Cahuilla Indians). Additional speakers included Don Stewart on prophesy, Frank Ruiz on the environmental situation at the Salton Sea, Christian comedian Ron Ruhman and Pastor Glenn Gunderson on how we, as Christians face our daily trials but how we handle those situations reflect the salt and light.
